Name: Pinky-Off Warm-up
Grip the ball without using the pinky of your throwing hand. Throw the ball to your partner who is standing 10 yards away. Focus on keeping your hand on top of the ball and spinning it down, because the ball will be tougher to control.
Sets/Reps: 20 throws
When executing this drill:
- Shuffle away from partner with opposite shoulder facing them
- On the coaches command, flip hips as fast as possible and release the ball quickly
- Make sure to stay balanced when you flip your hips
- Finish your throw
Quarterbacks can practice this drill daily and should do 3 sets of 5 repetitions
