Week 6 Game of the Week Bethlehem Catholic vs. Whitehall

Bethlehem Catholic RB, Mike McDaniel

Bethlehem Catholic RB, Mike McDaniel

The Week 6 premier game will match up two 4-1 teams in Bethlehem Catholic and Whitehall High School.  Bethlehem Catholic is having a turnaround year and has shown that they can score points and in bunches.  With play makers like Mike McDaniel who is leading the LVC in scoring and sophomore quarterback Julian Spigner, look for that trend to continue this weekend.  Without junior wide receiver Freddie Simmons in the line up, someone will need to step up and fill the void.  Every week it seems as if Bethlehem Catholic has been able to rise to the challenge and come through when the game was on the line.

Whitehall has been a league contender for the past several years and this year isn’t any different.  Some of the names have changed but the high octane offense has been a constant.  Coming off a tough loss against conference rival Parkland, look for Sa’quon Barkley to carry the load and look for some redemption.  This year he has been the catalyst for Whitehall’s success and has ripped off several huge plays.  He is currently leading the LVC in rushing yards and recently committed to Rutgers University.  If you watch the game this weekend, you will see some offensive fireworks that you don’t want to miss.
